Holy Blood Save Life

LIFE BLOOD
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus।

Oh! Precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Why is there a natural relationship between life and blood?
What does Paul mean when he prays that Christ may dwell in our heart? Ephesians 3:17.
What is a true heart according to Hebrews 10:22?

HOLINESS OF BLOOD

Life comes from God, so it is only natural that the blood be regarded with reverence. Anything so related to the soul would involve deep feelings of solemnity and awe – even more so because of its sacred association in worship.
For this reason God commanded that the Israelites not use blood for food. The flesh could be eaten only after the blood was completely drained from it (Leviticus 19:26). ‘’For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls…. Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, You shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof” (Leviticus 17:11, 14; Deuteronomy 12:23; Genesis 9:4).
In ancient Israel, not only was the blood to be taken from any beast or fowl before it could be eaten, but the law stipulated that the blood must be poured out on the earth “like water” and then covered with dust. Returning the blood back to God, the Creator of the earth, while covering the blood with dust resembles the burial of a body.

God wanted to teach His people very early that the blood had a divine essence. It was the physical symbol of created life and death. In its highest sense, the blood spoke of Him who one day would give His own life for the world, the incarnate Son Himself. Though our primitive forebears could not visualize its ultimate message, still they knew that the blood belonged to God, and that somehow it was the means of their redemption.
Jesus life and sacrifice gave to the blood its real meaning. That is why, in any form, it was not to be treated lightly. This fluid in the fullness of time actually flowed in Emmanuel’s veins. And one day, nearly more than two thousand years ago, that same blood drained out of His body on the cross, God gave His breath to man in creation and His blood for man on Calvary. He gave His blood because He had given His breath. Each was His very life.”
